Hi! I’m Mamta Gehlot, 25, from Rajasthan, India. I’ve completed my degree and master’s in Business Administration, but my true passion lies in reading.

About Me

I like to call myself a moody reader — it sometimes takes me a while to connect with a new author. But once I do, I dive in deep and usually binge their entire series. In fact, I often wait for an author to complete a series before I even start, so I can read it all in one go!

I don’t read multiple books at once — I prefer focusing on one world and one set of characters. Most of the time, I read ebooks, but every now and then, nothing compares to curling up with a physical book in a cozy corner.

Because I’m an empathetic reader, I tend to avoid books with very heavy emotions, dark romance, or tragic themes — the characters’ feelings hit me too hard. I stick to stories that have lighter emotional stakes, a bit of drama, and always, always a happy ending (HEA). That’s non-negotiable! A mild dark rom-com? Sure. But heartbreak without healing? Absolutely not.

I started reading in 2018 as a way to escape from real-life struggles, and since then, books have given me more than just comfort — they’ve given me fictional friends, lessons about love, and endless magical worlds to explore.

I’m also a huge Potterhead  — the Harry Potter books were the first series that made me truly feel. To this day, the audiobooks are always playing in the background, along with the Twilight series. They’re the only stories I can happily listen to on repeat.

When I need comfort, I don’t look for a “go-to” book; instead, I re-read a story I already love, because when I’m in that mood, surprises are the last thing I want.

Honestly? To connect with people who share my vibe. Finishing a great book or series and having no one to rant or gush with can be really frustrating. My sister reads too, but our tastes couldn’t be more different!

Why I Started This Blog?

So, I created this blog as a place where I can:

  • Share my romance book reviews and recommendations

  • Talk about sub-genres I love (fantasy, paranormal, omegaverse, MM romance, regency romance, rom-coms, reverse harem/why-choose, etc.)

  • Chat about my personal reading journey

  • And most importantly, find like-minded book friends

Recently, I binged two of Ana Huang’s series (Twisted and Kings of Sin) and she’s quickly become one of my new favorite authors.
